AMRE KLIMCHAK is a Qualified Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction teacher and trained in MBSR at the University of Massachusetts Medical School Center for Mindfulness. She is also a certified mindfulness instructor through the Mindfulness Institute for Emerging Adults. Amre completed additional workshops in trauma-informed mindfulness practices through the Lineage Project.
For more than ten years, she was an advisor and instructor at CUNY’s LaGuardia Community College, where she incorporated mindfulness practices into her work and taught mindfulness meditation courses for faculty, staff, and students. She has practiced mindfulness meditation and yoga since 2007.
In addition, Amre is a committed advocate for social justice, environmental preservation, and mindful parenting. She is a writer passionate about all forms of creative nonfiction and has written about mindfulness. She is writing a memoir related to a Modern Love essay she published in The New York Times, Auditioning for the Role of Boyfriend.
