Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is a structured program (including an orientation, eight class sessions and an all-day retreat) that helps you develop a range of practical mindfulness skills, which can help you to:
Become more resilient
Respond less to stress
Cultivate self-awareness
Practice self-compassion
MBSR was developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn, who is considered to be the father of mindfulness in America, at the University of Massachusetts more than 35 years ago.
This MBSR course will help you lay the foundation for a regular mindfulness practice through meditation practices and gentle yoga. Together, we’ll explore our responses to stress through group discussion to increase our awareness and ability to incorporate mindfulness into our daily lives.
